Sponsorship Policy

1. Free organic listing — eligibility bar

An app qualifies for a free, organic listing if it has at least 50 ratings and a ≥4.0 average rating on at least one store (App Store or Play Store). Apps meeting this bar are reviewed, scored, and ranked on merit — no payment required, no payment accepted.

2. When sponsorship is required

Sponsorship is the path to listing for apps that do not yet meet the organic bar:

• Brand-new apps without enough ratings yet.
• Apps below 50 ratings or below a 4.0 average.
• Apps requesting placement on a category outside their natural fit (subject to review).

Sponsorship is how new and smaller apps buy visibility while they earn the ratings to qualify organically. Once an app meets the bar, future organic listings are free.

3. What sponsorship is

A sponsored placement pins an app to the top of one category page for a defined date range, carrying a visible [Sponsored] badge. We cap sponsored slots at 3 per category at a time; rankings of organically-listed apps are never influenced by sponsorship.

4. Eligibility for sponsorship

• Must be a real, published app (App Store, Play Store, or live web product).
• Category placement must match the app's actual function — we verify before approval.
• No unverified medical or therapeutic claims, no adult content, no scams, no financial products with hidden fees.

5. Submission, authorization & approval

You submit via our submission form, pick "Sponsored listing," and enter a start date. The default slot is 1 month. At checkout, your card is authorized for the slot amount but not charged.

We manually review every submission. Typical turnaround: 2 business days. If we approve, we capture the payment and your placement goes live on the start date. If we reject, the authorization hold is released and you are not charged.

Note: Stripe card authorizations typically expire after about 7 days. If we can't review in that window, we'll email you to re-authorize.

6. Refunds

Because we only charge after approval, rejected submissions result in a released hold, not a refund. For post-approval edge cases — placement doesn't go live within 2 business days of approval, or a technical issue prevents rendering for more than 24 hours — we issue a full refund. After a placement has been live for more than 7 days, refunds are case-by-case.

7. Editorial independence

Sponsorship does not affect organic rankings, reviews, mindful_score, or which apps we recommend. We reserve the right to publish critical reviews of sponsored apps, and sponsorship never confers favorable editorial treatment.

8. Content accuracy

Sponsors are responsible for the accuracy of URLs, screenshots, and descriptions they submit. Misleading content is grounds for removal without refund.

9. Limits & termination

One active sponsorship per app per category at a time. We may decline or remove placements at our discretion for violations of this policy or legal/platform-policy reasons. If we remove you mid-slot for reasons other than a policy violation, we issue a prorated refund.
